摘　　要：介绍了组件式地理信息系统的基本概念及其相关技术,以及美国ESRI公司开发的全组件化GIS组件ArcEngine。在分析了基于ArcGIS系统软件和ArcEngine组件库系统开发应用方式后,介绍了利用VB实现基于ArcEngine的应用系统的基本流程,并以辽宁省基础空间数据库管理系统的设计和实现为例,说明了基于ArcEngine组件库实现客户应用的过程。最后总结了ArcEngine组件GIS开发的优点,并指出了未来在数据管理和应用中需要完善的工作。Firstly, this article introduced the principal concept of the COM GIS and its related technique. Then we presented the AreEngine, a kind component of full modularization GIS system, developed by ESRI Inc. in USA and explained briefly its model structure. After analyzed the mode of the system development based on ArcGIS and ArcEngine,we introduced the basic method to achieve application system based on ArcEngine with VB develop tools and presented the process to implement the application based on ArcEngine. Taking the design and realization of Liaoning Fundamental Spatial Database Management System as an example, it described the procedure of realizing customer application based on ArcEngine. At last,we summarized the advantages of the COM GIS and pointed out the task which we would perfect in the future.
