摘　　要：电影《肖申克的救赎》是一部耐人寻味的影片,影片中所呈现的诸多意象具有深刻的象征意义,体现了主人公安迪在肖申克监狱中受到的禁锢,但是他坚守住自己的希望,通过常人难以想象的毅力,救赎了自己,也救赎了别人,终于获得了自由。The Shawshank Redemption is an intriguing movie, which is full of symbolic meanings embodied in its rich images employed. It is in the hope that, in analyzing the symbolism of these images, this paper will be of great help for readers in appreciating the leading actor Andy. Though imprisoned in the Shawshank prison, Andy holds his hope firmly. With incredible perseverance, he struggles for freedom and redeems himself and others as well finally.
