英语中词语的异常搭配现象探析

摘　　要：词语的异常搭配是指修饰语与被修饰词之间存在一种不合常规的关系,也就是说它是为了语言的某种语用修辞效果而刻意创造的。这种异常搭配在逻辑上看似有些不通甚至自相矛盾,而实际上却语言凝练,耐人寻味。文章通过探讨此种现象的几种主要表现形式,阐释了其在特定语境中所创造的修辞效果和艺术魅力,对提高语言阅读鉴赏力有着十分重要的促进作用。The abnormal collocation is an abnormal relationship between the modifier and the modified, namely, it is created on purpose for some pragmatic rhetoric effects of language. From the angle of logic, the abnormal collocation doesn＇ t seem quite acceptable and even self - contradictory, but actually concise in language, giving the reader much food for thought. This paper, via some discussions on several main forms of expression of this phenomenon, interprets the rhetoric effects and artistic charm created by abnormal collocation in certain special contexts, which is helpful to promote one＇ s discriminating taste in reading.
