摘　　要：文章基于美国医疗设备费用方面的数据，系统分析了美国自1989-2004年以来医疗设备费用的变化趋势，以及对卫生总费用的影响。研究发现，在这一期间美国医疗设备价格指数的增长速度低于医疗消费价格指数和居民消费价格指数的增长速度，显示出医疗设备费用的增长对卫生总费用的影响并不明显。This paper analyzed the spending on medical devices for 1989-2004, and tried to make sure the influence of medical device spending on health expenditures, based on the data of U.S. medical devices. It found that in United States, prices for medical devices consistently grew more slowly than either the Medical Consumer Price Index or the Consumer Price Index, and the spending on medical devices had little effect on total national health expenditures.
