摘　　要：交通运输基础设施的发展水平对经济发展的作用很大。我国铁路、公路的空间分布以及它们与区域经济发展水平的关系十分密切,我国的区域经济发展差异与铁路、公路的空间分布差异极其吻合。为缩小我国区域经济发展的差距,协调区域经济发展,政府应该大力加强中、西部地区的交通运输基础设施建设。The development of transport infrastructure is important for the economic development. There is a close connection between the spatial distribution of railways and reads and the regional economic development, and the differences in economic development in China well reflect the differences in the spatial distribution of railways and roads. The Government should quicken the construction of the transport infrastructure in central and west China in order to narrow down the differences in economic development in different parts of China and to maintain a balanced regional development.
