摘　　要：通过对传统村镇与当代小城镇外部空间的研究,分析了导致两种聚居环境外部空间产生差异的四种主要因素:即建筑材料、构筑形态、空间尺度和公众参与。通过对这两种聚居环境外部空间的比较,强调了持续发展的传统村镇所固有的历史格局和文脉特征,并指出了当代小城镇的外部空间在发展过程中存在的缺乏可识别性、空间尺度模糊等问题。Through the research of exterior space between the traditional village and the contemporary small town, the article analyzes four kinds of main factors that cause the differences between the two environment exterior spaces： the construction material, the appearance of construction, the space dimensions and the public participation. Based on the comparison of the exterior space between the two environment, the article emphasizes the proper history structure and the context characteristics of the traditional village that persists for development and points out the problems that the exterior space of the contemporary small town lacks the identifiability and the space dimensions faintness in the development of process.
