摘　　要：本文介绍了词汇学新作《心智的门铃——英语新词的认知阐释》一书的主要内容，对其主要特色进行了评述。该书从认知语言学的视角对英语新词的创造、意义建构、词义扩展等进行了较为深入、系统的阐释，展示了词汇学研究的新视角，为词汇学研究注入了新的活力，预示着词汇学研究跨学科、多角度的新趋势。This paper reviews a new book in lexicology entitled The Doorbells of the Mind -- A Cognitive Approach to English Neologisms, which is a comprehensive study of English neologisms from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. The book explores the underlying mechanisms of the creation, meaning construction and meaning extension of English neologisms, reflecting a new direction in lexical study.
