摘　　要：当代西方斯巴达研究的明显特点可以概括为"反思",这种反思起源于欧洲资产阶级民主运动兴起之时,战后进一步强化。当代的反思一是用更为细致研究批判传统的作为军国主义、极权主义的斯巴达;二是用新的史料证明斯巴达并不是军国主义、国家主义、极权主义的国家。但是,人们在反思的过程中还存在着简单处理古典史料等问题。这股反思思潮对我国学者既是挑战也是机遇,我们应该抓住机遇,开展具有中国特色的斯巴达研究。Reconsideration is the main trend of the modern Sparta research in Europe and American, which merged in the movement for bourgeois to pursue the democratic politic, and developed after the Second War. There are two features in it, one is to criticize the traditional Sparta as an militarism and centralism country by the more careful research, another is to deny the traditional Sparta by new historical materials. But there are some defects such as simply deal with the classical materials etc. the trend is either a challenge or anopportunity to Chinese historical researcher, we should take the opportunity to catch up with the level of western Spartan study.
