摘　　要：Tess is a brilliant image in British literature history, which stands for those affronted but resistant women. The beauty of Tess prominently exists in her pure, responsible, and resistant characteristics. Thomas Hardy applies the drawing art to this novel and grafts the language art onto direct-viewing visual arts, only to display the charm of Tess and convey the aesthetic flavor which the even narrative language cannot achieve.Tess is a brilliant image in British literature history, which stands for those affronted but resistant women.
