摘　　要：代谢综合征以多种心血管和代谢危险因素为特征,人群中其患病率呈增长趋势,而且其增加了心脏病、脑卒中和糖尿病的发生危险,增加了心血管病性死亡风险。然而,近年来,许多学者对代谢综合征的存在和特征是否有益于临床实践提出了质疑,现对其中的一些关键问题进行说明。The metabolic syndrome is characterized by a combination of medical disorders that increase the risk of cardiac disease, stroke, and diabetes. Recently, however, many researchers have questioned whether evidence supporting the existence and characteristics of the metabolic syndrome is sufficiently developed to support its inclusion in clinical practice. This article presents a discussion on the controversy surrounding this disorder.
