摘　　要：结合《刘三姐专题文献数据库》的建设实践,提出西部地方高校图书馆应该关注地方文化、经济发展的重大决策和举措,从地方经济、文化的热点中寻找特色数据库建设的切入点,挖掘地方文化中的特色资源,突出资源的差异化、个性化,走渐进式建设道路,重视数据库衍生成果的开发,打造数据库资源的个性品牌。Based on the practice on the construction of：＂ Special Bibliographic Database of Liu San Jie＂ , this paper has put forward an momentous decision that western college libraries should care about local culture and economic growth, search for the point at constructing unique database in local economic and cultural hot views, mine special resources in local culture, specialize the differentiation and personality of resources, and we should take a progressive construction way as well as place more importance on the results derived from database and build a personal brand for the database resources.
