摘　　要：介绍了北京市西城区的干路清扫状况，说明人工清扫已不能适应城市的发展，必须逐步以机械清扫代替人工清扫。The paper introduced the sweeping condition in main road in Xicheng District, Beijing, and pointed out that hand-sweeping cannot meet the urban development and it must be replaced by mechanical sweeping.
