摘　　要：以胡锦涛为总书记的新的中央领导集体高度重视中美关系,继承发展了毛泽东、邓小平、江泽民三代领导人的战略思想和对美方针,并结合新形势、新挑战和新任务,提出一系列新理念、新思路和新政策,不断丰富中美关系的内涵,使中美关系保持向前发展的势头。本文从中美高层接触与互访、中美战略对话、台湾问题、中国和平发展与中美关系、美国大选后的中美关系新发展等视角出发,回顾总结了新的中央领导集体为推进中美建设性合作关系向前发展作出的重要贡献。The new central leadership with Hu Jingtao as the Secretary General pays great attention to Sino-U.S. relations. It carries on and develops further the strategic thinking and policy of the three generations of leadership headed by Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin. In face of the new situation,new challenges and new tasks,the new central leadership has put forward a series of new concepts,ideas and politics,thus greatly enriched the contents of Sino-U.S. relations and kept the momentum of the mutual relationship. This paper reviews and sums up from multi-facet perspectives the important contributions made by the new central leadership in advancing the constructive and cooperative relationship between China and the U.S.
