摘  要:通过设计数据管理解决协同设计中存在的快速设计演化、数据版本和容量激增以及在多站点设计协作中的网络带宽限制及其在设计交接期间的数据完整性维护等问题,提出模块化技术、基于树的模块版本化、分层版本管理、推动式发行和增量式发行等解决办法.借助DMC的帮助,在高复杂度的ASIC芯片设计中,提高了分布于5个远程站点的生产力.Very large scale integrated (VLSI) circuit design is becoming more and more complex in the deep submicron and low power era. Specific design data management system is required to manage the product data designed and generated through the design flow. Problems such as rapid design evolution, data version/volume explosion, network bandwidth limits in multi-site design collaboration, and data integrity maintenance during design hand off, are all making design coordination not easy to achieve. Design management control (DMC) is a system that addresses the above problems, through modular techniques, tree based module versioning, hierarchical version control, push-based release and incremental release. DMC helped engineers from five remotely located sites in designing several highly complex system on chip ASIC products with significantlv increased efficiency.
