摘　　要：认为城市化进程中,生态环境的负效应是不可避免的客观存在;生态补偿是促进城市可持续发展的主要方式,也是科学规划和建设城市的必由之路,更是化解城市发展与生态恶化矛盾的根本条件。The quickly rising and expanding of cities not only satisfies the need of modern civilization but also has a negative effect on ecological environment. Ecological compensation is the main way to promote the sustainable development of cities and is the only way of scientific planning and building of cities. Moreover, it is the fundamental condition to defuse the contradictions of the development of cities and ecological deterioration. Only with the guide of the scientific outlook on development can we treat the relation between the development of city and ecological compensation correctly.
