摘 要:A modified linear Minimum mean squared error (MMSE) turbo equalizer is proposed in this paper. The proposed method introduces a matched filter, which is used to preprocess the received symbol sequence, into the MMSE turbo equalizer. This matched filter can concentrate the received symbol sequence and, consequently, shorten the length of the observation vector without any information loss. The complexity of the MMSE turbo equalizer can be reduced, owing to its cubicity in the length of the observation vector. The simulation result confirms that our modified MMSE turbo equalizer performs as well as the original MMSE turbo equalizer with much lower complexity. Moreover, the modified algorithm can provide more flexibility in choosing the length of the observation vector, and therefore is more suitable for the multi-path channel with large delay spread.
