摘　　要：新现实主义是自二十世纪末期以来美国文学发展中的一大主流倾向。本文在系统梳理新现实主义文学的特点、具体表现和产生的历史文化原因之后,认为新现实主义在写作题材和文学主题上向现实主义传统回归,而在创作手法上批判性地继承了现代主义和后现代主义的许多特点,从中汲取了营养,形成了独树一帜的风格。因此,新现实主义文学既是对于传统现实主义、现代主义和后现代主义等文学形式的反叛,同时也是继承,更是在此基础上的超越。This article intends to provide a comprehensive analysis of neo - realism in contemporary American literature. Based on the discussion of its characteristics, manifestations and historical and cultural background, this paper concludes that neo - realism is a realistic tradition regression in terms of subject and theme, and that it inherits critically many features of modernism and postmodernism and forms its peculiar style. Therefore, neo - realism is not only a rebellion against traditional realism, but also an inheritor and transcendence of it.
