《喜福会》中的文化冲突解读

摘　　要：本文从跨文化交际的角度对谭恩美的小说《喜福会》中的矛盾冲突进行了分析。小说中的中国母亲和美国化的女儿们的矛盾冲突正是两种文化的冲突。在探讨第一代中国移民和她们的后代如何对待中国传统文化和美国文化的差异,以及她们如何解决矛盾以及最后互相理解中,我们看到中西文化由冲突碰撞到融合的发展前景。From an intercultural communication approach, this paper analyzes the conflicts and compromises experienced by Chinese mothers and Americanized daughters in Amy Tan＇s novel The Joy Luck Club. The cultural conflicts between them are just conflicts between two cultures. The focus of this paper lays on the studies of first generation immigrants and their offspring＇s attitude toward Chinese traditions well as the solutions they employ to solve the problems. The Joy Luck Club reveals that two cultures have been developing from conflicts to compromise.
