摘　　要：近些年,高校图书馆对弘扬公共精神、开展社会服务的问题讨论得十分热烈。高校图书馆必须走出"象牙塔",走进社会;转变观念,促进机制。同时,借鉴外国成功的经验,探索一条适合我国高校图书馆自我运行的道路。Resent years, libraries in colleges and universities have been warmly discussing on the problem of developing public spirits and doing service for society. This article insists on libraries should get out of ivory-tower and into society. That requires us to change traditional mind and to improving system. Meanwhile, we should explore a suitable self-operation way for libraries in colleges and universities of China from the successful experiences of foreign developed countries.
