摘　　要：One may find it hard to fathom that a large wooden block topped with protruding glass tubes is considered advancement in music technology, but that is exactly what the vacuum tube amplifier is. Even as Apple steadily marches towards the new peanut-sized iPod, audiophiles are gravitating towards the pulsing lights, grand designs and, most importantly, superior harmonics of tube amplifiers.
