摘　　要：国民阅读情况,从一个侧面反映了一个国家,一个民族的文化素养乃至价值追求。近年我国国民阅读率连续走低已引起国家和有识之士的重视。媒体的多样化,阅读的功利性,内容的低俗化,价格的走高等都是造成国人阅读率走低的原因。对此,政府应采取一定措施,充分发挥现有文化设施的作用,作者、编者、出版者应肩负起相应的文化使命和责任。Frequency of civilians＇ reading to some degree is a reflection of a country＇s cultivation and value orientation. In recent years, the lower frequency of civilians＇ reading has drawn more and more attention. This phenomenon results from the muhiplicty of media, the profitable tendency of reading, vulgarity of reading contents and high price of books. Therefore, the government should accordingly take measures to give full play to the present cultural infrastructure. Moreover, authors, editors and publishers also have to raise their awareness of responsibility.
