摘　　要：创新是社会经济持续发展的决定性因素,加快创新体系建设,是提高技术创新能力,增强核心竞争力的必然选择。西部地区创新能力相对薄弱,制约了社会的发展和人民生活水平的提高。通过对知识管理系统及区域创新系统的分析,探寻它们之间的结合点,并基于知识管理这一系统方法,研究西部地区区域创新系统的构建模式,以达到提升西部地区区域创新力,推动西部产业结构升级的目的。Innovation is the decisive factors to the sustained socio-economic development. To speed up the innovation system is a inevitable choice to improve the technological innovation capacity and enhance competitiveness. Innovative capability in the western region is relatively weak, constraining the development of society and people＇s living standards. Through analysising the knowledge management system and the regional innovation system to explore their point, and basing on the knowledge management system to study the regional innovation system in the western region,so as to improve regional innovation ability in the western region and promote the upgrading of the industrial structure of the western region.
