摘  要:关于第二语言习得的研究理论繁复、流派纷呈,各种模型、假说、范式相互质疑,诸多争议不休的问题迄今仍没有一个完整合理的解释。浑沌理论独特的理论体系和方法论框架为第二语言习得的研究提供了一个全新的视角。二语习得的过程可以被看为一个非线性的、开放的、不断演化的复杂系统。浑沌理论可以为其中争议颇多的语言迁移、中介语的可变性、语言僵化、语言损耗等复杂的现象提供解释力。With regard to the study of Second Language Acquisition (SLA), a variety of theories have been proposed with various schools,models, hypotheses and paradigms,which consistently challenge against each other. Many controversies over some hot issues, however, have not yet been settled with complete and reasonable explanations. Chaos theory provides a new perspective for the study of Second Language Acquisition with its unique theoretical framework and methodology. The process of Second Language Acquisition can be regarded as an open, non-linear, complex and evolving system. Chaos theory shall shed light on such complex and disputable phenomena as language transfer, interlanguage variability, language fossilization, language attrition and so on.
