Two nitrogen containing cotton stalk cellulose derivatives(CENB, CENH) were then obtained by reacting CE with 5,8diazadodecane and ethylenediamine, respectively. They exhibited better adsorptive capacities to Hg2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Cr3+ and Cu2+ ions and could be used repeatedly as anion exchanger.
