摘 要:POWER WORLD SIMULATOR(PWS)是一个面向对象的电力系统大型可视化分析和计算程序,其设计特点是用户界面友好、可视化,交互性能强。本文介绍了PWS软件包的功能与实际应用;并基于一个设计题目--断路器选型,阐述了PWS在《电气工程基础》教学中的应用。设计过程包括潮流计算、短路电流计算,断路器选型等。通过设计实例表明PWS强大的计算功能、图形和动画演示的广泛使用,有利于帮助学生理解基本概念;加深对系统特性、运行的认识,对教学有积极的促进作用。POWER WORLD SIMULATOR( PWS) is an object-oriented large-scale power system analysis and visualization program. It has the design features of friendly user interface, visualization and interactivity. This paper introduces the functions and its application of PWS in Electrical Engineering Foundation teaching based on a circuit breaker choice design task. The power flow calculation and fault current calculation by means of PWS are presented. The example shows that PWS is conducive to helping students understand the fundamental concept, power system characteristics and operation with its feature of graphics and animation. PWS has a positive role in promoting teaching in Electrical Engineering Foundation course.
