摘　　要：国民阅读情况,从一个侧面反映一个国家、一个民族的文化素养乃至价值追求。我国1999年首次开展"全国国民阅读与购买倾向抽样调查",一组组数据,一次次结果已引起国家和有识之士的重视。媒体的多样化,阅读的功利性,内容的低俗化,快餐化,价格的走高等不同程度地对国人的阅读产生着影响。政府有作为的行为,作者、编者、出版者不辱使命的责任感和充分发挥现有文化设施的作用,会对编撰健康向上的文化食粮,消除和抵制庸俗淫秽作品具有不可替代的作用。National reading may show the culture and the value pursuit of nationality. The results of the first sampling investigation report on reading and buying inclination of people in China in 1999 have attracted the attention of the state and many people. The factors of the diversification of media, the utilitarian of reading, the vulgarization and fast-food-style of contents and the raising price have an influence on the national reading in different degree. In order to develop the health culture and to e- liminate the vulgar and obscene works, the state would develop the socialist culture, and the authors, editors and the publishers would have the strong sense of responsibility and make the current culture facilities play a very important role in modern life.
