摘　　要：2008年1月,国家正式批准实施《广西北部湾经济区发展规划》,北部湾作为"中国经济增长新的一极"的主体轮廓与战略框架基本确定。与中国大陆沿海的环渤海地区、长江三角洲、珠江三角洲一样,新批准的北部湾经济区同样是以城市群的形态进入国家战略框架中。北部湾区域内资源丰富,品类齐全,特色鲜明,可以分为自然遗产资源、物质文化遗产资源、非物质文化遗产资源和都市文化资源四种基本类型。现代城市的基本模式可以称之为经济型城市。在巨大的环境压力与资源掣肘下,中国城市已开始了文化城市发展模式的新探索。北部湾丰厚独特的文化资源,是其城市群建设的潜在优势与新生长点。发展中国家的一个主要问题是路径依赖。文化发展有助于北部湾经济区超越路径依赖,是区域内实践科学发展观的重要内涵之一。With the approval of Development Planning for Beibu Gulf Economic Zone in Guangxi Province in January, 2008, the general outline and strategic framework for Beibu Gulf as ＂A New Pole of Chinese Economic Growth＂ was settled. Similar to Bo Hai Coastal Region, the Youngtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, the newly approved Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has entered the framework of national strategy in the form of urban agglomeration. The region abounds in diversified characteristic resources, which can be divided into natural heritage, tangible cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage, and urban cultural resources, and the type of the cities in the region is economy-based. Under great environmental pressure and resource limitation, Chinese cities have begun to explore the developmental mode of cultural cities. Being endowed with unique cultural resources has become a potential advantage and new growing point for the construction of urban agglomeration in the Beibu Gulf region. One of the major problems confronting developing countries is path dependence, while cultural development will be helpful for the Beibu Gulf region to surpass path dependence and will become a major content to implement the scientific development view.
