摘  要:地壳的强烈活动形成各种断层和褶皱,极大地影响区域地质结构的发展。城口断层整体受到NE-SW向的挤压力作用,它将大巴山分为南北两部分,在秦岭-川东的地质研究中占据重要位置。以左旋和右旋两种活动形成的城口断层,对周边地区产生着广泛影响,使这些地区在地层和构造上与城口断层具有相似性和继承性。The strong action of the earth's crust constitutes various faults and folds. It affects greatly the development of the geological structure in regions. Chengkou fault is in the whole of the NE--SW stress field, and it divides the Daba Mountain into two parts. It means that Chengkou fault has played an important role of researching the geology in Qinling and the eastern Sichuan. The forming of Chengkou fault experiences two tectonic movements that are left--lateral movement and right--lateral movement. It affects strongly all around regions, and those regions have resemblances and inheritances with Chengkou fault in strata and structure.
