新桂系时期广西的物价状况与居民生活水平

摘　　要：新桂系统治时期的物价,在抗日战争前大体说来是比较平稳的,日常生活用品价格一般较低。抗战期间物价飞涨;抗战胜利后由于物资匮乏,加之当局滥发纸币,造成物价上升,民众生活水平迅速下降。由于广西底子薄弱,新桂系当局在对各项建设大量投入的同时,并没有对民众的物质生活给予足够重视,加上抗日战争及其后内战的影响,导致经济萧条,人民生活极其艰苦。The commodities prices in the period of the new Guangxi Clique were on the whole stable before the War of Resistance Against Japan and the prices of daily necessities were generally low. During the War, the commodities prices soared. After the War, as a result of the scarcity of commodities and the authority＇s excessive issue of bank notes, the prices on the rise were sometimes even soaring, which caused the living standards of the residents to decline in no time. While much effort and money were invested in so many fundamental construction projects, the new Guangxi Clique failed to pay enough attention to the material life of the masses due to the destitute economic situation. In addition, as an aftermath of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the subsequent civil war, economic depression made residents＇ life even worse.
