摘  要:从文化的角度来看,旅游乃是借助符号的表征功能来传达意义的人类行为。旅游目的地形象是一种经由符号的表征功能而形成的为旅游社群所"共享的意义"。基于此,尝试一种全新的视角——表征,来重新审视旅游目的地形象的内涵及其建构过程,发现旅游目的地形象是一种具有社会、文化、历史3个层面的概念,并具有以下特征:典型的符号学意义、群体共享性和差异性;社会根源性和规范说明性;相对稳定性和长期动态性。旅游目的地形象的建构过程本质上是符号表征功能的运作,而旅游目的地形象建构的意义就在于它能规范和组织旅游社群内的旅游活动。Tourism is a kind of social and cultural phenomenon, which is essentially a human behavior which conveys meanings by representation.From the point of view,tourist destination image is a kind of significance produced by representation,and that is shared by tourism community.This paper is devoted to the study of the connotation and construction process of tourist destination image from a totally new point of view of representation,in order to reveal some fundamentals of this process.This paper will go on with the way of constructivism. Tourist destination image is a concept that can only be properly understood if it is seen as being embedded in historical, cultural and macro social conditions. Afterward, this paper discusses the characteristics of tourist destination image: having significance of signs, sharing in community and differentiating in sub-community, being rooted in the community and behaviorally prescriptive and the relative stability and long-term dynamic. This paper points out that there are two systems involved in the construction of tourist destination image, and the nature of tourist destination image is to organize and regulate the tourism activities in the tourism community.
