OCLC WorldCat与Ulrich's数据在西文期刊编目信息获取方面的差异分析

摘　　要：通过对综合性科学技术和农业科学方面有代表性的10种西文期刊在OCLC WorldCat数据库与Ulrich's数据库中的信息描述分析可以看出,两个数据库在揭示内容、命中记录数、查询利用难易程度、出版发行时间描述、刊名变化揭示情况、ISSN变化前后对查询结果的影响、不同刊名书写方式的查询结果等方面存在差异。只有在尊重实物的基础上,充分利用二者的优势,借鉴国际其他标准数据,才能不断提高西文期刊编目质量。Through the information descriptions of 10 western-language periodicals which are representative in technology and agriculture from OCLC WorldCat database and Ulrich＇s database, it shows that there are differences between the two databases in revealing contents, the number of hitting records, inquiring and using levels, descriptions of publishing situation, the revealing situation of changed periodical titles, impacts of inquiring results before and after ISSN changing, and inquiring results of different written ways of periodical titles, etc. The author proposes that improving western-language periodical cataloging quality depends on the full utilization of advantages of these two databases and the reference of other international standard data based on respecting facts.
