摘　　要：万维网地理信息系统(WebGIS)技术的成熟发展及广泛应用为满足公众获取地理信息相关服务的需求提供了很好的技术支持。首先简要介绍了WebGIS技术和ArcIMS的基本原理,然后运用JavaScript、ArcXML、JSP等语言开发了基于ArcIMS的公众查询系统。Meeting the public access to geographic information services is technically facilitated by the wide application of the WebGIS. Firstly, this paper gives a brief introduction to the basic concepts of WebGIS and the related techniques of ArcIMS used in this paper, and then the author create a WebGIS subsystem of public query based on ArcIMS using JavaScript, ArcXML and JSP.
