摘　　要：国际电信联盟要求海事成员国对水上甚高频(Very High Frequency,VHF)频段无线电新技术展开研究,并在2008年初发布关于甚高频频段数据通信系统技术要求的ITU-R M.1842号技术建议书。介绍该建议书的主要技术内容,分别是正在开发和已投入使用系统的两种技术规格,包括系统总体特性、收/发信机技术要求、频谱分析、系统的可用性、互操作性以及先进性等内容,最后,提出了加快国际标准引进,推进我国内相关技术和产品开发、研究的建议。The International Telecommunication Union （ITU） asked members of the maritime community to launch the studies of new technology on maritime VHF（Very High Frequency） frequencies. In the beginning of 2008, new recommendation ITU-R M. 1842 on characteristics of VHF radio system for data communications was adopted by ITU. The main contents of the new recommendation, the specifications of the VHF radio system which has been in use currently and the system still under development are introduced, in including their general characteristics, transmitters/receivers, spectrum characteristics, system availability, interoperability and advantages. Some suggestions of speeding international standards import and promoting relevant technology developments and studies are provided.
