Objective:To investigate the effects of staging dynamic-static acupuncture on acute stroke patients received early rehabilitation. Methods: 156 acute stroke patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 78 cases each. All patients of the two groups were given conventional clinical treatment and early rehabilitation, the cases of the treatment group were added with staging dynamic-static acupuncture treatment. The treatment course was 3 months. The clinical effect was evaluated by the Nerve Function Insufficient(NFI).The motor function and activities of daily living of all patients were assessed by the Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA) and Modified Barthel Index(MBI) before treatment,1 and 3 months after treatment. Results: The cured rate and marked effective rate in the treatment group of 74 cases were 16.22% and 60.81%,while that in control group of 75 cases were 10.67% and 50.67% respectively. There was significant difference in the cured rate and marked effective rate between the two groups(P<0.05).The FMA and MBI scores of all patients in the two groups significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01),while the scores of the cases in the treatment group were obviously higher than that of the control group(P<0.05 or <0.01).Conclusion: Staging acupuncture could obviously promote the early rehabilitation of the patients with acute stroke.
