摘　　要：就如何促进习得文化模式和激活文化模式,掌握习得文化模式的有效方法进行了探讨,以期提高读者对不熟悉的文化信息的理解能力。Prior knowledge and cultural background greatly influence the reading comprehension processes.Individuals may comprehend information better when they have the appropriate cultural schemata.This paper examines how to facilitate the acquisition and activation of cultural schemata.The ability of readers to comprehend culturally unfamiliar information can be enhanced by providing efficient ways of acquiring cultural schemata and ways of retrieving schemata when needed.
