摘 要:In large-scale IP-based communication sys- tems, faults are often caused by multiple factors of uncer- tainty, so bow to locate the root causes of these faults quickly and precisely plays a key role in network man- agement. This paper presents a fault localization tech- nique based on Bayesian probabilistic inference. Equipped with enhanced ability to handle negative and positive symptoms, our method can diagnose multiple simultane- ous faults and be resilient to noise in the symptom infor- mation. Moreover, it achieves good accuracy and precision with low cost of time. In the simulation study, we compare our approach with a prior fault localization technique IHU. Results show that our method offers better accuracy and precision compared to IHU in noisy environment at the ex- pense of less time especially in large-scale communication systems.
