摘  要:西霞院工程电站厂房地基上第三系地层是介于岩石和土性质之间的过渡性地层,其性质十分特殊,可以概括为岩性的多样性、岩土性质的过渡性、强度差异大、渗透性差异大等特点。根据基坑开挖后进行的大量试验研究工作,对上第三系地层的工程地质分类进行了探讨,分析认为:将岩性与成岩作用结合起来对该类地层进行综合分类具有较好的适用性,工程区上第三系地层更多具有土的工程地质特性,可称为特殊硬土或软岩—硬土,以土力学的方法进行评价为宜。The upper Tertiary strata above powerhouse foundation in Xixiayuan Project is transitional strata between rock and soil. Its property is very special, which can be summarized as follows : variety of lithology, transition of geological properties, big span of intention and permeability. Based on a lot of test research after foundation pit excavation, this essay discussed the engineering geological classification of upper Tertiary strata. The analytical result shows that it is suitable to confirm the integrative class of this stratum by combining lithology and diagenesis. As the properties of upper Tertiary strata at this engineering area are closer to those of soil, which can be named special hard soil or soft rock-hard soil, so it is reasonable to be estimated by the methods of soil mechnics.
