摘　　要：文章介绍了逆向工程的概念及基本原理;通过具体设计实例,阐明了逆向工程技术在某车型白车身设计过程中的应用方法与思路,论述了逆向工程在白车身设计开发中的重要性;同时针对逆向完成后的三维数模无法满足实际产品的功能及制造工艺要求,需要对白车身改型及结构优化等现象进行了阐述。This paper firstly presents the definition and the basic theory of the Reverse Engineering. Then it describes the application and principle of Reverse Engineering in the body design, discuss the importance of the Reverse Engineering, based on a specific example of the BIW design. At the same time, it explains the remodel course and structural optimization in the later design process of the BIW design, because the original 3D-model can not meet the demand of the virtual product function and manufacture techniques.
