摘　　要：视频监控系统是以计算机为核心,结合多媒体技术、计算机网络技术的一种监控系统。本文主要介绍了建立大规模视频监控系统应具备的主要功能,以及系统软件方面需要解决的两个关键技术:视频信号转发功能、摄像机控制权的统一管理。该系统突破传统视频监控软件各种缺陷,扩大了视频监控的应用领域,并且使系统的维护更加简单、有效。Video monitoring system which is based on computer technology and combined with multimedia network is a new kind of surveillance system.This paper introduce main features of this Monitoring System and two problems aboat software need to be solved when build Large-scale Video Monitoring System： Video signal forwarding and Camera control of the unified management. This system break through The deficiencies of traditional video surveillance system , and expand the video surveillance applications and the maintenance of the system will be more simple, effective.
