摘　　要：XML是一种可扩展元置标语言,.NET是一种新型的、面向网络、支持各种用户终端的开发平台。立足.NET框架下基于XML的图形导航语言XPath,通过结合XML本身的结构和DOM对象的方法对XPath做了详尽介绍,最后给出一个将XPath用于信息检索的完整实例。XPath is an expression language that allows the processing of values conforming to the data model defined in [XQuery/XPath Data Model （XDM）]. The data model provides a tree representation of XML documents as well as atomic values .The result of an XPath expression may be a selection of nodes from the input documents, or an atomic value, or more generally, any sequence allowed by the data model. So XPath provides a better way to search specific information.
