摘　　要：拓展信息服务领域是高校图书馆顺应时代潮流、满足社会信息需求、增强自身发展能力的需要。论述高校图书馆拓展信息服务能力的必要性、可行性,探讨和阐述拓展信息服务领域的有效途径及具体措施。The paper advocates that extending information service area is urgent for college and university libraries to conform to the trend of the times, to meet the social information needs and to enhance libraries＇ own development abilities. It expounds the necessity and feasibility for extending college and university library information service area and also discusses the effective ways and specific measures.
