摘　　要：早在一战进行当中,日本陆军就开始有针对性地从事总体战方面的研究。田中义一、宇垣一成、永田铁山等陆军中坚人物以及陆军其他上层人物都对日俄战争与一战进行考察和研究,提出自己的总体战思想。他们或者从职业军人角度或者从日本未来发展战略角度对总体战思想进行阐述,为日后日本发动更大规模的侵略战争及总体战体制的建立奠定了思想基础。As early as World War I was in progress, Japanese Army has intentionally begun to engage in the research of the total war. Through investigating and studying Russo - Japanese War and World War I, key figures in Japanese Army such as Tanaka Giichi, Ugaki Kazushige, and Nagata Tetsuzan, as long as other lead- ers raised their own ideas about the total war. They elaborated the ideology of the total war, either from the aspect of professional military or from the aspect of Japans future strategy, which lay the ideological foundation for large scale aggressive war and the establishment of the total war system.
