摘　　要：千层塔由于其治疗老年痴呆等疾病具有特殊的药用价值和潜在的巨大经济价值,正日益受到国内外的关注。该文综述了近年来国内外对千层塔的生物学特性、资源分布、内部显微结构、繁育、石杉碱甲提取分离及药理等方面的研究现状,并提出一些建议,对未来千层塔的研究进行了展望。Qian Ceng Ta,a traditional Chinese medicine,whole plant of Huperzia serrata（Thunb.ex Murray） Trev.,a member of the Huperziaceae family,has attracted intense attention since huperzine A（HupA） was isolated originally from it in the 1980s,marked anticholinesterase activity.in recent years,HupA has been marketed in China as a new drug for Alzheimer s disease（AD） treatment and its derivative ZT-1 is being developed as anti-AD new drug candidate both in China and in Europe. This article summarizes the progress in biological characteristics, natural resources, microstructure, propagation of Huperzia serra- ta, extraction, isolation and pharmacological action of HupA in recent years.
