摘　　要：传统住区更新已经成为城市建设的主角,作为传统住区的魅力场所和精髓所在,传统住区中的公共空间是住区内物质、能量和信息交流的重要空间,同时也对传统住区的风貌、特色、活力有着重要的影响。本文以此为切入点,阐述了传统住区公共空间的空间特质和蕴藏在其中的人文内涵,并结合沈阳铁西区工人村的改造实例,探讨我国传统住区更新中公共空间创造的途径和要点。The improvement of traditional residential areas has become the leading role of city construction. Public communication place, where the charm and essence of traditional residential areas lie, is an important space for the exchange of material, energy and information and has a very important influence on its style, features and vigor. Based on this, this paper elaborates the characteristics of space and cultural connotations hidden in traditional residential areas and explores the approaches and principle for the creation of public space in the improvement of traditional residential areas, by employing the transformation of TieXi-GongRenCun, Shengyan, as an instance.
