当代中国民间信仰的历史演变与依存逻辑

摘　　要：当代中国的民间信仰经受了被阻挠、查禁,甚至被取缔的命运,伴随着改革的持续推进和社会的转型,民间信仰又有了很大的复苏,显示出顽强的生命力和极大的社会适应性。然而,民间信仰并非国家法定的宗教信仰,其生存状态仍然时常受到挤压,地方政府对其管理也具有较强的随意性,有时还将其视为封建迷信活动予以打击和取缔。在这种社会政策环境下,民间信仰继续获得较快的发展与较大的生存空间,这与社会经济制度的变迁、农村民众的精神需求以及民间精英分子积极寻求民间信仰发展的合法性有关。Folk beliefs in contemporary China have gone through the fate of being obstructed, forbidden and banned. With the on-going reform and social transformation, there has been a big revival of folk beliefs and they have shown indomitable vitality and great social adaptability. However, since folk beliefs are not the legal religious beliefs of the state and have often been suppressed. The management of local government over these folk beliefs are often random without much consistency, and sometimes they are even regarded as feudalistic and superstitious activities that should be elimminated and banned. Even under such social policy circumstances, folk beliefs continue to grow and there is a big room for its existence. This can be attributed to the change of social and economic system, the spiritual needs of the mass population of the countryside. It also has to do with the active seeking of the folk elite for legalizing the development of folk beliefs.
