摘　　要：19世纪英国作家乔治.艾略特受费尔巴哈"人本宗教"思想的影响很深,在她的多部小说中都渗透着"人本宗教"思想,探索着热情与道德的追寻。分析乔治.艾略特的《米德尔马契》中的三个人物形象多萝西亚、利德盖特和费厄布拉泽,在他们身上所体现出的同情心、道德感和责任感,可以彰显出作者所主张的以"人本宗教"为基础的道德原则。George Eliot,the English writer of the nineteenth century,was deeply influenced by the thought of the Religion of Humanity of Feuerbach.Many of her novels are permeated with the thought of the Religion of Humanity.This thesis analyzes the sympathies,moralities and responsibilities embodied by the protagonists Dorothea,Lydgate and Farebrother in George Eliot s Middlemarch.Through the analysis we can realize the moral principles based on the Religion of Humanity advocated by George Eliot.
