摘　　要：近十几年来,亨利·詹姆斯的小说被频频搬上银幕。本文讨论影视作品对亨利·詹姆斯小说的改编。通过创新的改编,电影导演将小说文本中的不确定因素呈现在观众面前。文章追溯亨利·詹姆斯几部主要作品被改编成电影的历史,并分析十九世纪与当今社会对女性气质解读的相似之处。Recent fdm adaptations of novels by Henry James are discussed in this paper. We hold that through the innovative adaptations, the directors bring to the surface uncertain elements of the text, which have been the object of contemporary literary debates. Feminist issues like marketability of womanhood through the continuous depiction of the female body in our day are adapted for the screen, adopting a historical perspective and showing a similarity in constructions of femininity between the nineteenth century and our day.
