摘　　要：我国必须通过发展知识经济提高国际竞争能力。机械强度有限寿命设计专家工作站是对传统强度设计理论和方法的突破，是具有知识经济时代特征的高新科技。高等院校应对此在科研和教学方面作出积极响应。还为培养人才提出了多种类型的教学计划。It is necessary to enhance international competitive capacity of China by developing knowledge economy.The expert working station for limited life time mechanical strength design is a breakthrough in theory and method of traditional strength design and also a king of high and new technology with knowledge economy age characteristics.Chinese universities and colleges should make an active response on scientific research and teaching.Several kind of teaching plans are presented for training professional talents.
