摘　　要：从孔子"述而不作,信而好古"的自我角色期望,似乎并不能直接推导出孔子是一个纯粹为守旧而守旧的复古主义者。孔子也是"述"中有"作"或是即"述"而"作"的,特别是在凝练、提升、卫护和弘扬"我们"的文化意识和文明特性方面,孔子在他那个时代作出了自己最独特而卓越的历史贡献,而且影响深远,是他那个时代也是中国历史上第一个最大最重要的文化保守主义的思想家。From Confueius＇s self-role expectations of ＂expounding on theories without producing anything original oneself, believing in and admiring the ancients＂, it seems that we can＇t deduce that Confucius is a pure old-fashioned and conservative reactionist. In fact, Confucius not only expounded on but also produced things, especially in the aspects of perfecting, upgrading, protecting and promoting our cultural awareness and the characteristics. At Confucius＇s time, he made the most unique and outstanding contribution to the history. Confucius is the first and the greatest thinker of the cultural conservatism in Chinese history.
