摘　　要：当新闻开始向公共新闻转型时,报纸副刊也开始努力关注公众之间的对话和交流的质量。《南方周末》的副刊以公共事件为主要内容,从公共角度去认识问题、阐发问题,并进而提升事件的公共意义,起到了塑造人民的公民意识和公民的公共意识;对协调公共生活,提高公众应对社会问题的行为能力,缓解矛盾,化解冲突有重要作用。As news starts to shift to public news, supplements of newspapers are devoting themselves to improving the ability of the public in the acquisition of news information, concerned with the quality of communication and help people to seek approaches to problems. Taking public affairs as the primary contents, South Weekend studies, explicates problems and enhances the public significance of the affairs, which serves to shape the citizen consciousness and the public consciousness of the citizens, harmonize public life, develop the ability of the public to cope with social problems and alleviate contradictions and conflicts.
